  • Things to do with your Dad

Plan the best Father's Day weekend for your Dad! Los Angeles offers plenty of choices when it comes to fun hangouts - breweries, restaurants, hiking, game nights - you can't get enough of it. Your Dad deserves the best - so start mapping out your Father's Day itinerary, since it's coming up really soon. Here are some ideas on how to spend this weekend with your Dad:

Explore LA's best hiking trails

Take your Dad out for a hike! It's healthy, it's fun, it's beautiful - a great bonding experience. You will have plenty of time to enjoy a great conversation and stunning views of the city. Runyon Canyon is always a safe bet, but if you're in the mood for an adventure and new discoveries - head to the Sara Wan Trailhead at Corral Canyon, which is a 60-90 minute hike. You may also want to check out the Portuguese Bend Reserve at Rancho Palos Verdes, which 5.15 miles long and will keep you busy for about 2.5-3.5 hours.

Make reservations at a steakhouse

If your Dad is a meat lover, be sure to take him out for dinner because he deserves it! And nothing sounds better than talking away with your old man, while enjoying a nice steak.
Some of LA's best steakhouses are Cut at Beverly-Wilshire Hotel, old-school-themed Taylor's Steakhouse in Koreatown, or a well-known Boa Steakhouse in West Hollywood.

Go golfing

If your Dad is an avid golfer, you should definitely drive up to Newport Beach and check out Pelican Hill Resort. 400-acre golf course will make your pops incredibly happy - plus, you might enjoy a full-service spa after your busy day. Stay in one the resort's luxurious bungalows or villas and turn your trip in to a quick weekend getaway.
