Have any plans this weekend? Cancel them, stay in, and throw yourself a Christmas movie marathon! Better yet, stock up on your favorite snacks and open a bottle of your favorite wine! Leave the real world behind and get into the Christmas spirit with the following holiday films:
One
of our favorite movies of all time, especially during Christmas time, "It's
a Wonderful Life" (1946), about an angel sent from heaven
to show a frustrated businessman what life would be like if he didn't
exist. Speaking of not existing, another good movie is "The
Nightmare Before Christmas" (1993), where the main character, who
lives in Halloween Town somehow discovers Christmas Town, which by all means
doesn't exist in his world- and tries to bring it back to his town of
Halloween. The whole movie is genius and a little dark but oh so funny! If
you want to watch a classic charming Christmas movie, then see "Miracle
on 34th St." (2015), an old man proves his status as the real
Santa and is taken to court for it. Really beats all the mall Santa movies
out there, it is witty and heartfelt. However, if you watch any movies, please,
please, please! watch "Klaus" (2019). A sympathetic
fellow who is thrown into a nowhere town to fulfill mailman duties. You won't
believe how beautiful the story unfolds, a Christmas story, of course!
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2021! Let's hope 2021 is better than 2020. Crossing our fingers!
