Don’t miss these top pet-friendly lunch spots in Los Angeles.
Thanks to its beautiful climate and access to outdoor living all year round, Los Angeles is a mecca for dog lovers in the United States. Thankfully, the city has a number of places for our four-legged friends to play and roam, including lunchtime and happy hours.
With plenty of outdoor restaurant patios in the city, you can almost always find a place to bring your furry companions. Some restaurants even offer complimentary bowls of water and dedicated doggy menus for your canine friends.
To help narrow your search, let’s take a closer look at four of our favorite dog-friendly restaurants in LA.
Given the name, it’s no surprise that the Lazy Dog in Torrance is the perfect place for your dogs to kick back and relax. With its spacious patio area and a special menu just for dogs, your furry friends can enjoy a grilled hamburger patty, grilled chicken, or even a delectable brown rice bowl.
There are restaurants that tolerate dogs, and then there are restaurants that go above and beyond to make your canine pals feel welcome. The Morrison is one of those restaurants. Here, they take dog-friendly to a whole new level. Not only do dogs enjoy the spacious and shaded patio, but the restaurant features a full dog menu. For a mere $6, your dog can dine on chicken and rice, chopped hamburger and rice, or chopped hot dogs and rice. (All the meals are made dog-friendly without seasoning.)
Jane Q (1800 Argyle Ave)
Jane Q and Ever Bar are both dog-friendly establishments located inside the Kimpton Everly Hotel. In fact, dogs are welcome here throughout the property, including inside the hotel rooms. If you take a stroll through the property, you’ll often see dogs hanging out at happy hour, sitting quietly by their owners as they enjoy a fresh and seasonal cocktail or glass of wine.
The Fat Dog (11050 W Magnolia Blvd)
This is another LA restaurant whose name is a nod to its dog-friendly practices and space. Not only do dogs love this gastropub’s large and airy patio area, but the flagship location is located right next door to Tailwaggers, one of the best pet stores around. The owners even have dogs of their own who visit from time to time. For well-behaved pets, and even those who like to get a bit rowdy, treats are provided free of charge.
