St. Patrick’s Day is our best excuse to wear our most exotic shades of green and consume Irish treats. This year it falls on a very warm sunny Friday, which means there’s nothing stopping the fun! Just remember to be safe and plan a ride or stay away from the green (or any colored) alcohol if you plan on driving!
The Bungalow is going all out for St. Patrick’s Day with green sangria and margaritas! They will be serving Irish food as well as providing free festive cookies. If you have some big bets placed on March Madness there is no need to be alarmed, because the championship will be playing while you are! There will also be entertainment by the California Feetwarmers.
Farmer’s Market at The Grove
Have a shamrock balloon created by a balloon artist while listening to live music. To top it off wander to Magee’s Kitchen where you can try their corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes! There will be a bagpiper wandering alongside you at around 4pm, and when Glen the Bagpiper is not performing the Celtic Camerata will be, or Scarlet and Steve. As a grand finale, Stuart Marks and The Paddy O’Dors Band is coming on at 7. This is an event you can’t miss!
Great Horror Movie Night: Leprechaun
Taking place at Griffith Park’s abandoned Old Zoo is a haunted screening of Leprechaun. There will be interactive games and a pot of gold, just try not to let the monsters scare you off before you find it!
Casey’s St. Patrick’s Day Street Festival
Have you ever heard of a street festival that promised “400 kegs of beer and 1,200 bottles of Jameson,” Irish food, and DJs? Now you have! Casey’s is taking over Grand Avenue to host these St. Pattys day festivities. Help them keep their promise by drinking lots of whiskey and beer!
A pre-party at the Forum including a Guinness garden with Irish cocktails and green beer. Food booths serving corned beef and cabbage sandwiches and Lucky Charms. Giant games, DJs and photo booths. What more crazy green Irish fun could you have? Participating in a sing along!
