- Artist Point in Mount Baker-Snoqualmie Forest, WA
Located near the Canadian border, you will have a chance to admire both the icy mountain peaks and an active volcano, the 10,780-foot-tall Mount Baker. Unfortunately, the route to Artist Point is closed most of the year. However, it opens when the snow starts melting, and then you’re in for a breathtaking journey with blueberry meadows and panoramic views of Mount Shuksan and Baker. - North Rim Campground, Grand Canyon, AZ
This shaded campsite provides you with a relaxed atmosphere on the north side of the canyon, 8,200 feet above the sea level. Take a short walk to the Transept Trail, where you can overlook the sandstone peaks at sunset – you don’t want to miss it. - Viewpoint over Cannon Beach from Ecola State Park, OR
According to the explorer William Clarke, when he reached the Tillamook Head (in Ecola State Park), he saw "the grandest and most pleasing prospects which my eyes ever surveyed." Wander around the forest surrounded by Redwoods that are hundreds of years old and astonishingly gigantic, some of them getting higher than 350 feet. If you’re planning to visit this magnificent spot, you will need a free permit before driving the narrow unpaved road to the trailhead. Afterwards, take a 1.3-mile hike to the site. - Enders Falls in Granby, CT
Take a cool breather at the northern Connecticut’s Enders State Forest, with a stream flowing through the dense woodland. The trail you will be embarking on, ends with magnificent waterfalls and swimming holes shaded by maple, birch and oak trees. - Weston Lake in Congaree National Park, SC
Explore this swampy 22,000-acre national park established in 2003! Walk along Weston Lake to experience the park’s variety, such as otters and cypress poking up from a dried up river. - Inspiration Point, Bryce Canyon, UT
