Introduction

In many ways I am like you. I have had my share of lessons learned both good and bad. It goes with the territory of being an adult. Just like there is no blueprint of how to be a parent, equally there is no blueprint of how to be an adult and take control of your destiny. The most important lessons we learn in life are through trial and error. The consequences of our choices become our guiding path to betterment, better mothers, better fathers, better providers.  In my opinion and through my experience ways we "bump into our lives". I know I have.

This book is my personal story which will take you on a journey of your own personal discoveries. There are things that you may relate to or may ring your inner bell. In the event you find things you relate to as you read along, throughout sections in this book, I am hoping that you will take a few minutes for yourself and reflect. You will find that I have given you many of my thoughts and reflections in supporting a new exciting way of  thinking.  I hope you find them helpful.

I am sharing my life and stories through this book to open up your doors to new possibilities. There are very few mistakes as you will see I didn’t make...yet I worked through all of them and pursued an incredible life for myself and my daughter.
