| Brulee of Strawberry
Prep Time: 5 Minuets
Chill Times: 30 Minutes
Cook Time: 12 Minutes
1/3 Cup of sugar
2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 Egg, lightly beaten
1 ½ Cups 1% low-fat milk
1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
1 Cup sliced fresh strawberries
3 Tablespoons brown sugar
Combine sugar, flour, and egg in a medium saucepan. Gradually stir in milk.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Cover and chill thoroughly.
Place strawberries evenly in 6 (3/4- cup) oven proof ramekins or custard cups.
Spoon custard mixture evenly over strawberries, and sprinkle evenly with brown sugar.
Place ramekins on a baking sheet. Broil 5 ½ inches from heat (with electric oven door partially opened) 2 to 3 minutes or until sugar melts. Serve immediately.
